Arizona has a large range of landscapes from snow covered mountains in Flagstaff to flat desert in the south. Spend time exploring the desert in and around Phoenix, walk through the canyons in the north, or admire the incredible natural wonders such as Antelope Canyon and Horseshoe Bend. Arizona has three national parks: Grand Canyon, Saguaro, and Petrified Forest. If you are planning to spend time in the desert, the best time to visit is November through April when the temperature is nice and you can get away from the winter in other parts of the US. During this time you can hike on the many desert trails, relax at the resort pools, or walk around old town Scottsdale. A visit to Arizona is not complete without stopping in Sedona, a beautiful town two hours north of Phoenix with red rocks.
