Airbnb: There are a lot of Airbnb options especially in the capital, Ljubljana.

Hostel: You can find hostels typically in the cities. Look for hostels on booking.com or hostelworld. Note that if you are more than 2 people you might be able to find cheaper Airbnbs than the cost of the hostel for your group.

Transportation

Rental Car: Renting a car is the best option to explore Slovenia and will allow you the most flexibility. You can rent a car when you arrive at the airport in Ljubljana. If you are renting a car in a different country and driving to Slovenia, make sure to check with the rental company that you have all the documents to cross the border.

Train: The train system within Slovenia is Slovenian Railways. You can access their site for their destinations and timetables and purchase the ticket at the train station. Note that since many of the incredible destinations in Slovenia are in the countryside, a car might be necessary once you arrive in the rural destination.
